    Eligibility

    A candidate for being eligible for admission to the three year course leading to the degree of Bachelor of Computer Applications must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std. XII) examination conducted by the different Divisional Boards of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education with 45% marks (40% for candidates belonging to Reserved category) with the

    • English
    • Any one of the Modern Indian Languages or Modern Foreign Languages or any classical Language or Information Technology
    • Any four subjects carrying 100 marks each.

    or

    • English
    • Any one vocational subject carrying 200 marks
    • Any three subjects carrying 100 marks each.

    or

    Must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std. XII) examination with the Minimum Competency based vocational courses (MCVC) conducted by the different Divisional Boards of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.

    • Any one of the Modern Indian Languages or Modern Foreign Languages or any classical
    • Language or Information Technology
    • General Foundation Course.
    • Any one subject carrying 300 marks from among the Minimum Competency based vocational courses prescribed by the Higher Secondary School Certificate examination from time to time.

    • Must have passed an examination of other Board or Body Recognized as equivalent thereto.

    or

    • Must have passed any three year Government recognized Diploma programme.

    B.C.A.II year :

    • For a student from our University - should have cleared or has ATKT as admissible in first year in the same subject
    • For a student from another university - studied at least two courses of four credits each in the I year in the same subject. Passed I year without ATKT.
    • Should have passed three years Govt./ D.T.E. recognized Diploma Course.

    B.C.A.III Year :

    • For a student from our University - should have cleared second year in the same subject or has passed with admissible ATKT
    • For a student from another university – should have completed at least six courses of 4 credits each or 24 credits in the I and II year in the same???subject. Passing in I and II year without ATKT.

    A BCA degree can take you places. With a bachelor’s degree in computer applications, one can find a reasonably good start in the Information Technology industry. BCA holders get job in IT segments like software Services, Business Process Management (BPM/BPO), engineering services and computer hardware. One can apply to businesses involved in IT and ITES segments both in the private and public sector.

    With BCA certification, one is also be eligible to apply for jobs to companies and organizations engaged in other commercial segments including but not limited to banking, energy, telecommunications, and engineering. Since IT professionals are required for running the essential automation in almost all establishments, big or small, chances of landing an entry-level position within a short period of completing your BCA are also very high.

    Level: Degree
    Duration: 3 Years
    Medium of Instruction: English

    B. Sc.(IT) I Year:

    A candidate for being eligible for admission to the three year course leading to the degree of Bachelor of Science must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std. XII) examination conducted by the different Divisional Boards of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education with the following subjects : -

    • English
    • Any one of the Modern Indian Languages or Modern Foreign Languages or any classical Language or Information Technology
    • Any four Science subjects carrying 100 marks each.

    OR

    • English
    • Any one vocational subject carrying 200 marks
    • Any three Science subjects carrying 100 marks each

    OR

    Must have passed an examination of any other recognised Board or Body Recognized as equivalent . Students who have not done Mathematics at 12 th Std. are required to take a bridge course in Mathematics and pass in a university conducted test before Semester I examination.

    B.Sc (IT) II Year:

    • For a student from our University - should have cleared or has ATKT as admissible in first year in the same subject.
    • For a student from another university - studied at least two courses of four credits each in the I year in the same subject. Passed I year without ATKT.
    • Passed three year full time Diploma in Engineering with an aggregate of not less than 60% (Open Category) and 55% (Reserved Category) OR Must have passed any three year Diploma in Engineering Course.

    B.Sc (IT) III Year:

    For a student from our University- should have cleared second year in the same subject or has passed with admissible ATKT. For a student from another university– should have completed at least six courses of 4 credits each or 24 credits in the I and II year in the same subject. Passed in I and II year without ATKT.

    Career After B.Sc.(I.T.)/BCA

    1. Job:- A BCA/ B.Sc(IT) degree can take you places. One can find a reasonably good start in the Information Technology industry.     In keeping with the policy of ‘openness’ and ‘flexibility’, the admission to the M.Sc. (DFSM) course is open to all graduates from nutrition, science and health background, even if they have not studied nutrition at the graduate level.

    Eligibility criteria:-

    • Graduates with a B.Sc. (Home-Science) Degree with specialization in Foods and Nutrition and/or Dietetics and Clinical Nutrition.

      OR
    • PG Diploma in Dietetics and Public Health Nutrition (DDPHN) or its equivalent can seek direct admission to the programme.

      OR
    • Graduates with a B.Sc. Degree (or the equivalent i.e. MBBS, BHMS) from the following background: Home science/food science and technology, sciences, health care, medical, pharmaceutical, catering would require either the Diploma in Nutrition and Health Education Degree (DNHE) OR the Course “Nutrition for the Community” (CNCC) offered by IGNOU, to be eligible for admission to the M.Sc. (DFSM) programme.

    With respect to learners who fulfill the 3rd criteria for admission given above, simultaneous admission to the Course “Nutrition for the Community” (CNCC) (offered by IGNOU) along with admission to the M.Sc. (DFSM) programme shall be granted.

    • Government Sector : They can work with government hospitals, government’s health department, schools, colleges, factories and office cafeterias for planning nutritional regiment.
    • Sports and Health Clubs : They can also work for sports hostels and athletes camps. Health and recreation clubs, canteen and nursing care facilities also require the services of nutritionists and dietitians. Employment opportunities are also open to them in catering department of hotels and restaurants.
    • Teaching, Research and Development : Research and development involves conducting research on various food items to ensure their quality as well as studying the effects of various types of diet on the body chemistry in labs. The research dietician or nutritionists do research on nutritive value of food which helps to understand the various components of food we eat and the right type of food which provides a balanced mix of the essentials like vitamins, minerals etc. needed for the human body. They also can opt for research career mainly in universities, public or private sector research institutes, food product manufacturing companies and hospitals. Teaching the science of nutrition of dietetics in colleges and universities is also a good option.
    • Mass Media : Moreover they could find openings in the mass media where top priority is given to disseminating vital information on healthy living.
    • Gyms, Slimming Centers: As diet counselors
    • Private Consultant/ Practitioner : Experienced dietitians may become assistant, associate, or director of a dietetic department, or become self-employed. Some dietitians specialize in areas such as renal or pediatric dietetics. Besides all these they can also work as private consultant or private practitioner.
